As you can see, MontanaGoTo (MTGO2) is in its infancy stage. We're back, continuously adding more content!
Contrary to what some of my smart aleck friends and coworkers have said, there are more than horses and wagons in Montana. Yes, there is modern transportation, and as such, yes, there are multiple airports in Montana! There are quite a few Montana airports with major airlines, and some smaller regional airlines. As I've stated throughout MTGO2, Montana is huge! You may need to get yourself a rental car too if you want to go explore on your own.
It may come as a surprise to some that Montana has some international airports. Montana does border Canada, though. More specifically, the Alberta Province. But you're not here for a geography lesson. Montana has the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), which, as you could guess from the name, is one of the airports that gets you nearest to the Yellowstone National Park entrance, though it's still a drive. For Glacier Park, visitors will want to fly into the Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell, Montana. The Great Falls International Airport (GTF) grants closer access to Central Montana; the Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) serves Southern Montana; and Missoula International (MSO) in Western Montana.

There are a few other airports in Montana to help cover the vast state. Additional airports include the Bert Mooney Airport (BTM), in Butte; the Helena Regional Airport (HLN); and the Yellowstone Airport (WYS) in West Yellowstone. As with all of the airports in Montana, you can either decide what you want to see and find the closest airport, or choose an airport and see what's around. Of course, check how close the airports are to what in Montana, and where in Montana, that you want to visit. Check both distance and time, though, something 20 miles away could still take an hour or more to get to if you're going through some Mountain roads.

There are a number of airlines that fly into Montana. Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Cape Air, Delta Airlines, Frontier Air, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airlines all serve Montana destinations. Below shows the airlines flying into Montana. Things constantly change, though, hopefully with more Montana flights! MTGO2 will keep this as up to date as possible.
Alaska Airlines serves the Montana cities of Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell (Glacier International), Missoula, Butte (Bert Mooney), and West Yellowstone.
Allegiant Air is a somewhat untraditional airline that flies into a number of smaller locations. They are lower cost, but still good quality, keeping costs lower by only flying a couple of days of the week, at least into Montana airports. Allegiant serves Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Kalispell, and Missoula airports in Montana.
American Airlines is one of the major airlines flying into Montana. You can use American Airlines to fly into Billings, Bozeman, Kalispell (Glacier Park), and Missoula.
Cape Air serves Billings as a major Montana airport, along with some of the smaller regional Montana airports of Glasgow, Glendive, Havre, and Wolf Pointe (essentially Eastern Montana smaller airports).
The larger airports in Montana are all served by Delta: Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Kalispell, Helena, and Missoula.
Kalispell (Glacier Park International) and Missoula are the two airports in Montana currently with Frontier Air flights.
The Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, and Kalispell airports all have United Airlines flights into Montana.
Virgin Atlantic flies into Billings in Southern Montana.
You'll hear me say numerous times throughout MTGO2, that Montana is a huge state! There are quite a few Montana cities with airports, partially because they are so far apart. Many people I've spoken to in my past have mistakenly thought some places in Montana were closer than they actually are. Make sure you either know where you want to go and what you want to see before booking your flight to Montana, or choose where to fly into Montana and determine what you'll be able to see close by!
